We are pleased to announce that our textile fabric has passed the antibacterial activity test conducted by Intertek, a globally recognized third-party testing laboratory, following ISO 20743:2021 (Absorption Method), the international standard for the determination of antibacterial activity of textile products.
The test evaluated performance against Staphylococcus aureus (ATCC 6538), the standard test bacterium specified in this ISO protocol. Our fabric obtained an antibacterial activity value A = 2.2, which meets the threshold for significant antibacterial effect (A ≥ 2.0) per ISO 20743:2021 criteria.
As an additional assessment, the sample was also challenged with Candida albicans (ATCC 10231). The test returned an activity value A = 2.1, demonstrating observable inhibitory effect against this yeast strain.
Disclaimer: ISO 20743:2021 is primarily an antibacterial standard for bacteria. The Candida albicans result is supplementary data and shall not be claimed as antifungal certification under this standard.
Testing was performed using the plate count method, with controlled incubation at 37±2°C. This independent verification reinforces our commitment to delivering functional, quality-focused textiles for apparel, home textile and related end uses. Our functional fabrics help reduce bacterial growth and support fresher, more comfortable wear.
